Presentations
Walk a Mile in Their Shoes; Taking Steps to Patient Satisfaction
Studies have shown that patient satisfaction and positive patient outcomes are directly linked and that over 30% of patient healing comes from the patient’s frame of mind. Learn how what we say to patients, how we think about them and even their physical environment directly affects their outcomes and what we can do to have the best patient outcomes possible.
Gulliver in a Lilliputin Hospital; The Experience of the Obese Patient
Because of the health complications that go hand in hand with obesity, the patient population of overweight and obese can be as high as 81%. Lack of adequate equipment combined with anti-fat attitudes on the part of some health care professionals leave this patient population vulnerable to substandard care. This presentation examines the root of obesity as a disease, the experience of the obese patient while being sensitive to the very difficult job of the health care professional.
Reach for Success Through Weight Loss Surgery
This presentation is perfect for patient groups and is an excellent marketing tool for bariatric practices. In this energetic and entertaining presentation, Barbara discusses all aspects of weight loss surgery and living life successfully afterwards. Your patients will have a great time!
